Founded by Edward Murphy, Foundation Homes was established to offer clients greater flexibility, genuine collaboration and more choice throughout the building process. With extensive construction experience and an exceptional ability to navigate complex and challenging builds, Edward understands how architecture, materials and construction must work together to deliver an outstanding home.
He works closely with every client, architect and consultant to transform ideas and plans into homes that are not only beautifully designed, but practical, buildable and perfectly suited to the people who will live in them.
Edward is joined by his wife, Bobbie, whose background in senior management, luxury hospitality and client experience brings another important dimension to the business. As Managing Director and Interior Designer, Bobbie oversees client communication, project administration, scheduling and interior design.
With a Diploma of Interior Design and years spent working alongside Edward across Foundation Homes projects, Bobbie helps clients make confident, informed decisions about their home. Her involvement ensures the design intent is carried through every stage of the build — from spatial planning and material selections to joinery, finishes, fixtures and final styling.
Together, Edward and Bobbie offer clients a highly personal and cohesive building experience, combining construction expertise, considered design and exceptional service under one roof.
Our experienced construction team includes qualified carpenters and is led onsite by Construction Supervisor Joshua Meldrum, who is also a qualified builder. This depth of knowledge means every project is closely managed by experienced professionals who understand the importance of precision, planning and attention to detail.
